Kleshna Jewellery Blooms into the Plus Size Market

Inspired by the luscious curvaceous Marilyn Monroe’s and Crystal Renn’s of this world, British Jewellery designer Kleshna adapts her glamorous collections to celebrate their curves. ‘As a curvy woman myself I had noticed a gap in the market to provide affordable accessories, marrying luxury and unique design that are suitable for the larger ladies out there. I have relished bringing this extra factor to my clients with our first collection selling into Box 2 franchisees and talks happening with two other large retailers.’

Known for her glamorous and flamboyant designs produced in the most eclectic selection of colour ways, the collections are specifically designed for the fuller figure resulting in curvaceous couture.

The diverse pieces incorporate Swarovski crystal, spicy faux pearls through to two toned neon’s, all are enriched with sparkling elements.

Jewellery Designer Kleshna Launches Hart2Hart Jewellery to Inject Funding
Into the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust

Acclaimed jewellery designer, Kleshna is collaborating with The Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) by creating a bracelet and necklace as an exclusive wearable symbol for the charity. HART is a lesser known charity

founded in 2003 by Baroness Caroline Cox[i]  renowned for her pioneering work.  It supports ‘the forgotten people of Europe, Africa and Asia by sowing the seeds of longer-term solutions through targeted aid-work focusing on sustainable community developments.

The ongoing fundraising campaign launching mid January 2009 in time for Valentine’s Day, is seeking to increase funding and help raise the profile of HART. £7.00 from each bracelet and £5.00 from each necklace sold will be donated to the trust.  The pieces will be available for purchase at www.kleshna.com, and will be identified with the HART logo flashed on them.

Kleshna comments on the project,  “We had considerable success with the exclusive sparkling  Poppy brooches  created from Swarovski  crystals for the Royal British Legion in 2008 which were worn by a host of celebrities including Olga Kurylenko, Cheryl Cole and Dame Judi Dench to name but a few. This has made me realise the power of my hands to fundraise.

Kleshna has early links working with Caroline Cox raising much needed funds for the 'Our Family  Project In her native Russia. The creative partnership grew organically from the link between the trust's abbreviated name HART and Kleshna's abundant use of hearts within the collections. A trademark style born from the romantic meaning of her Russian name, which translates to 'Stealer of Hearts'. This has resulted in her Jewellery ranges becoming sought after for Valentine's Day. The 'Hart2hart' set will be launching at this pertinent in the year to use the sucess witin the period to maximise donations for the Charity.

The ‘Hart2Hart’  bracelet is £47.00 and is made with sterling silver and a wave of Swarovski crystal hearts blending from  ruby reds through rosy pinks to plain crystal and the Love Red crystal Heart necklace is a beautiful cut crystal heart on slinky silver snake chain at £24.46.

JEWEL FOR THE SERVICES CREATED BY KLESHNA

The 11th Day of the 11th Hour of the 11th Month is always poignant as wave after wave of men and women from our armed forces parade at the Cenotaph to honor their fallen comrades.  And everyone wears a poppy as they have done since 1918!   This year alongside the traditional poppies, made by disabled and ex-Servicemen & Women (www.poppyfactory.org) The Royal British Legion enlisted the support of top jewellery designers to create three very special poppies which will be worn throughout October by a series of celebrities before being auctioned off to the highest bidder with the proceeds going to the charity.

One of those designers is Kleshna who says, “It’s a brilliant idea and I am honored to be part of this project. I am known for glamorous and flamboyant crystal designs so the chance to work on such a vibrant coloured iconic image was irresistible. The brief was to capture the Legion’s values of Reflection, Hope, Comradeship, Selflessness and Service."

"I made a special metal mesh in the form of the three-petal poppy representative of the three arms of the forces - Army, Navy & Air Force .Then I waxed silk thread and embroidered layers upon layer of  ruby crystals to build up a 3-D effect and also to represent the many thousands of people in the forces whom we wish to remember - topping it off  with a black velvety middle with stamens made of bugle beads roccailles and crystals to denote the central stability of the British forces. It is backed with felt to make it soft and yielding. It is a very beautiful sparkling object which I hope will help to raise a lot of money for a wonderful organization that works for past and current members of the forces."

The auction starts on November 5th on www.AuctionAir.co.uk who will have a special Royal British Legion page devoted to this project.
